The head and legs of Optimus Prime is black instead of blue.

Man this Optimus is the last of its kind, electronic gimmicks, spring fired projectiles, good quality plastic and looked like the character in the series, the only thing it envies today toys is articulation in hips and ancles, with that and a some metal parts it would be a Masterpiece by today standards. To be fair with WFC Galaxy Optimus Prime the figure was made in a age that the transformers figures no longer have gimmicks like electronics and projectiles to save money for Hasbro or to favor articulation, also lets not forget WFC Galaxy Optimus is a remold of Ultra Magnus, I still like the figure but know that it is a shadow compared to the original toy, I wish Hasbro reissue the original toy or give us the commander class we deserve.

The Golden age of transformers is history, this mold is eternal compared to the lesser stuff. Give me a chunky brick that is big and not with ballyhooede poseable joints. Good plastic and no hollows with the bells and whistles, but with adequate posing. Modern figures are not worth it! 👎👎👎

My Prime in those days was the Energon combined with Star saber. He was impressive too. But I also love this one.

Minuto 7:20 . El kit de piezas upgrades para la figura Optimis Prime De TF War for Cybertron Game de Studio Series si que es un buen conjunto para mejorar y mi opinión sobre esa figura y la escena de las dobles-ruedas delanteras en ña espalda me recordaron mucho a Knowkout en la serie de Transformers Prime y yo pienso y creo que esa figura de Optimus Prime TF WFC la deberían de reutilizar para reparar la figura de Knowkout que hicieron en su primer lanzamiento desde la línea de figura para Transformers Legacy y así tener a un Knowkout de Transformers con ese estilo de molde y puntos de articulación y transformación. Ah y también recordé que Knowkout también había tenido una segunda aparición en un videojuego llamado: Transformers Universe, un juego tipo campaña en donde puedes elegir ser Autobot o Decepticon y sobre sus personajes originales, tenían un pequeño lore dentro de un universo casi paralelo a la serie de Transformers Prime y sus gráficas y sobre Knowkout como Decepticon, también existe otro personaje llamado: Overclock que es Autobot y posee casi el mismo estilo de diseño robot que Knowkout por la parte de sus ruedas delanteras a manera de mochila en su espalda. Y con eso, ya deberían de darle un oportunidad a Transformers Universe Test your Metal para la línea de figura Transformers Legacy. Mis saludos y Muchas gracias.

Is one of the best optimus figure . But not the greatest optimus. But cmon he is amazing!

I guess one could make an argument for the ROTF Leader Class Optimus and its derivatives if the awkward Transformation doesn't bother people as a "Good Optimus". I kinda like the Takara overscale of the Movie Freightliner Optimus too. This Cybertron mould is a good fun toy overall - the only thing I think i'd want corrected is better hands and adding ankle tilts

Una figura bien grande y fantástico uno de los mejores moldes de optimus prime y también recuerdo que el Autobot leobreaker que es un león y forma el brazo de optimus. Y también wind saber que es un avión y se combina con optimus en remplazo de su remolque

My first ever full sized prime. This one is differently coloured than mine but still looks great. Always loved that cannon sound but mine no longer works because DO NOT LEAVE BATTERIES IN THE GUN TOO LONG!!

Está figura está mejor que el original la versión original fue buena en su momento pero tenía la articulaciones limitadas y la transformación muy sencilla la nueva tiene la misma transformación pero tiene más pasos y la cabeza se guarda está mejor es este y ojalá salga más personajes de Transformers Cybertron 2005 para el próximo año que viene ser sus 20 años

Great review as always, Chef! Still have 4 decos of the original Deluxe Class as well as 4 decos of the Legion Class. I don't get the same 'magic' from this, sadly. We like what we like, right... 😅

He just needed a smaller scope

I actually like the new cyber planet keys the old one were too big and looked silly on the figures. The new ones at least don't look as bad attached to the figure in either mode

There are two things I find baffling about this new version. First, not taking the opportunity to improve the should articulation over the original just seems bizarre. It's clearly inferior engineering. Second, how could they have dropped the ball so hard on the molded-in details compared to the original? It's practically plain in comparison. Worst of all is the engine block which is just a plain polygon. This is a perfect example of sticking to closely to the original design. This little dude is a lesson in how not to "update" a Cybertron figure. And the crazy thing is that because it is so close to the original, it's still pretty damn cool!

Honestly they should've made the arm and back kibble into something that can fold up. The toon model was based on the toy which didn't know how to handle the kibble at the time. We don't need it still 🙃

My classic Cybertron Hot Shot had yellow wings and must have been the Hasbro release since I'm almost positive he came from Walmart (he was in a 2-pack). The only reason I got him was to yank those yellow wings off and put them on Excellion.

Can't wait for the Cybertron Defense Hot Shot for the Upcoming Legacy Line! Nuff said!

Great Review as always!! I decided to be a little more selective in purchases as I want to just finish G1 so I can get out of collecting so I'm skipping some of the figures in the other universes because honestly I don't need them. yes he does look nice but paying more for less these days has been getting on my nerves.

Hot Shot was actually the second Transformers toy I've ever gotten after the ROTF Legends Class Bumblebee. They used to sell the Legends Class Universe figs for like $5 in Dollar General, and I remember thinking: "Oh, he'd look cool with my Bumblebee!!" Now I'm gonna do the same nearly two decades later 🤣
